Windows Live Mail: add a Bouygues / BBox address

For those who are disappointed with the Mail application and its lack of functionality, there is an alternative: Windows Live Mail also has the advantage of running on Windows 7, Vista and XP in addition to Windows 8 and 8.1.

Add a BBox / Bouygues Telecom account in Windows Live Mail

  • Server type : IMAP
  • Server address (below): imap.bbox.fr
  • Port : 993
  • Tick off the “Secure connection (SSL ) required”.
  • Login name : complete email address
  • Server address (outgoing, right): smtp.bbox.fr
  • Port : 587
  • Tick off the “Secure connection (SSL ) required”.
  • Tick off the “Authentication required” line

4. The account is configured and messages are retrieved in Windows Live Mail.
